Dr Anusha Devi Nawoor has completed her PhD at the University of Nottingham, with her research focusing on the Pharmacogenomics field, specifically targeting the HLA-B*58:01 allele in gout patients. She has implemented the Ion Torrent NGS platform (Thermo Fisher Scientific, USA) in C-Lab, with several applications such as the Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT) and oncology panels such as BRCA1 & BRCA2 NGS panel, Pan Cancer NGS panel, Inherited Cancer NGS panel and the Oncomine Focus Assay. She actively advocates for the development of personalized medicine in Mauritius through molecular diagnostics.
